As a key member of our NielsenIQ team, you will have the opportunity to grow professionally and personally in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

About Your Role:

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze large datasets, identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.

Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g. PowerBI), providing regular, accurate, and actionable insights to stakeholders, and creating visually appealing and understandable data visualizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis:
    • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret data requirements.
  2. Reporting and Dashboards:
    • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g. PowerBI).
    • Provide regular, accurate, and actionable insights to stakeholders.
    • Create visually appealing and understandable data visualizations.
    • Ensure data visualizations align with business objectives and user requirements.
  3. Data Cleaning and Transformation:
    • Clean and preprocess raw data for analysis, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
    • Transform and structure data to meet the needs of various business units.
    • Work closely with business users and the Global Financial Planning and Analysis Team.
    • Collaborate with the Development team to ensure data integrity and availability.
    • Support/Coach junior members of the team in projects/developments.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, BI tools, and best practices.
    • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Data Science or equivalent degree.
  • Around 3-4 year of experience in financial and/or business intelligence positions.
  • Able to work as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (e.g. Microsoft PowerBI).
  • Knowledge of SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL).
  • Advanced usage of MS Excel (VBA would be an asset).
  • Knowledge of OneStream / HFM / SAP would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Alteryx) would be a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both speaking and writing.
  • Ability to interact with various stakeholders, incl. senior leaders.
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently and support/coach junior members of the team.
