About the Job

At Vonage, we are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge communication platforms. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex software systems, ensure their quality, and make a significant impact on our customers' experiences.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing and automation, with experience in working with various technologies such as AWS, Python, Java, Go, and more.

You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to define testing requirements, develop test scripts, and execute tests to ensure high-quality products. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and recommending solutions to observed issues, documenting your findings, and escalating them as necessary.

The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously improving your skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in test automation, with a focus on developing high-quality test frameworks and scripts;
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, and others, as well as scripting languages like Bash and Perl;
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, particularly AWS, and resources like EC2, EKS, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, and CI/CD pipelines;
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, as well as multi-tier and distributed architectures;
  • API testing expertise, including REST and SOAP APIs, and experience with tools like Postman and SoapUI;
  • Familiarity with load, performance, and scalability testing, as well as documentation and tracking of issues;
  • B.S./B.A. degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics, or technical certification and/or related experience;
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Kafka or similar queuing services;
  • Data Science and Big Data frameworks like Cassandra;
  • XML, XSLT, and JSON expertise;
  • Exposure to API Security testing and vulnerability testing;
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on national averages and industry standards. Please note that actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
