About the Role

We are looking for experienced technicians to lead small teams to deliver service and other scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities on the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG). This is a travelling role so technicians can live anywhere in Poland working a 2 week on 2 week off shift pattern.

The successful candidate will have a proactive approach to all areas of Health and Safety for both themselves and their team. They will also have a strong communicator willing to undertake assignments and work individually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of technicians to safely deliver Maintenance and Troubleshooting activities on Offshore Windfarms
  • Active safety leadership when in the turbine and in the Wind Farm - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts / conditions
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards and legislation in relation to Environment Health & Safety (EHS), Quality and Service delivery
  • Remote diagnosis of turbine faults
  • Support technical supervision of critical tasks as required
  • Support for the welfare of technicians whilst on site and escalation of any issues relating to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), transportation, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with customer and contractual obligations whilst executing work packages / tasks. Guarantee compliance with site rules and regulations
  • Maintain efficient timescales for delivery of service activities to assist in the creation of daily, weekly plans for site teams as in conjunction with Service Planner / Service Coordinator / Stores Operators if required
  • Provide accurate time booking data
  • Comply with task related EHS, Quality and Technical documentation and ensure compliance at site level with all requirements. e.g. Work Instructions, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Onsite support for customer operational issues and site visits
  • Support your own personal development and the development of other technicians
  • Work proactively with 3rd party technicians, contractors and sub-contractors and facilitate planning and execution of 3rd party work including EHS compliance

What You Need to Make a Difference

  • Possession of a valid driving license and ability to pass an offshore medical
  • Previous experience of carrying out fault finding or troubleshooting on electrical/mechanical systems
  • Ideal qualification to a minimum of MT level on the Siemens Wind Turbine Competence Framework (WTCF) or have a formal electrical background and education
  • A strong desire to be part of an industry striving to protect our planet from further damage and make a difference in the battle against climate change
