Aircraft Sheetmetal Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our team at AAR. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing structural repairs and modifications on fighter aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural repairs and modifications on fighter aircraft, including sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Work closely with other mechanics and maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of repairs and modifications.
• Read and interpret technical documents, including manuals, technical data, and blueprints.
• Develop and implement repair plans to restore aircraft components to original strength.
• Ensure all work is done according to specification, regulation, and company policy.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A&P License or proof of specialized aircraft structural repair course completions.
• Minimum of 5 years aircraft structural repair experience on fighter aircraft; F-16 structural repair experience preferred.
• 1-year full-time field service in the last 3 years.
• Ability to communicate fluently in the English language.
• Basic knowledge of various computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

Working Environment:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height.
• Must be able to lift and carry parts, tooling, and other awkward items sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
