Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled F-16 Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our team at AAR. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing structural repairs and modifications on F-16 aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate and repair cracks, breaks, holes, and dents in aircraft sheet metal structures
  • Determine appropriate repairs from technical data to restore components to original strength
  • Identify damaged or weakened structures and develop repair plans to restore airworthiness
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions, angles, and contours for structural repair
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Assist with other duties as required to support the customer and mission
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A&P License or specialized aircraft structural repair course completion
  • Minimum 5 years aircraft structural repair experience on fighter aircraft; F-16 experience preferred
  • 1-year full-time field service in the last 3 years
  • Experience in reading, comprehending, and interpreting technical documents
  • Knowledge of assigned airframe, technical manuals, and publications
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
Working Environment

This position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height. You must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics to function adequately. You may be required to perform duties at remote and austere locations.
