Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our EMEA Merchant Acquiring Business Intelligence Team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for analyzing data related to our merchant acquiring business, produced by internal and external sources, to provide valuable insights to decision makers.

The Role

You will play a critical role in identifying and interpreting trends and patterns in data sets, not only to determine areas of improvement but also to create forecasts, recommendations, and tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. You will work closely with other staff and teams to solve business problems and directly create data sets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools, utilizing SQL and database queries.

We operate a hybrid working model with 2-3 days in the office, offering flexibility while maintaining collaboration and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze business requirements to design and implement data solutions.
  • Work with SQL, Power BI developers to create required reports.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Perform profitability analysis on merchant, segment, market levels.
  • Build pricing models.
  • Conduct data profiling and data quality assessments to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to create ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and SQL-related issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in data analytics.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Financial Analyst role. You should have general business knowledge on dynamics of merchant acquiring and strong proficiency in Power BI, and MS Office Suite. Additionally, you should be proficient in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information, possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and be able to effectively communicate and interact with others.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
