The Role

We are seeking an experienced Branding Tech Lead to join our dynamic digital team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for setting high standards in web development. This role involves optimizing our development and delivery processes, ensuring top-tier code quality, and fostering collaboration between development and design teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of web developers, providing technical leadership and guidance.
  • Analyze and streamline current development workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Establish and enforce modern web development best practices, including coding standards, testing protocols, and deployment strategies.
  • Implement techniques and strategies to improve websites' performance, including load times and responsiveness.
  • Ensure the implementation of robust security measures to protect web applications from vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure all web pages meet the latest accessibility standards to provide a better user experience for all users.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Work closely with the marketing, brand & web design team to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality and alignment with marketing and branding direction.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all development processes, codebases, and system architectures.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development to keep our processes and applications current.
Requirements
  • Experience in people management (minimum of 3 years).
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks like React and Next JS.
  • Experience with various CMS platforms and in implementing them.
  • Experience with performance tuning, caching strategies, and front-end performance tools.
  • Deep understanding of web security principles and practices.
  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Expertise with Git and other version control systems.
  • Good understanding of backend technologies.
  • Proficient with collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail down to pixel-perfect execution.
  • A team player, willing to jump in and roll up your sleeves with some design work or other tasks needed to keep a project moving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
