The Role

We are seeking an experienced Branding Tech Lead to join our dynamic digital team and oversee a portfolio of approximately 50 websites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for setting high standards in web development.

This role involves optimizing our development and delivery processes, ensuring top-tier code quality, fostering collaboration between development and design teams, and ensuring our web applications meet the latest standards in performance, security, and accessibility.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage a team of web developers, providing technical leadership and guidance.
  2. Analyze and streamline current development workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  3. Establish and enforce modern web development best practices, including coding standards, testing protocols, and deployment strategies.
  4. Implement techniques and strategies to improve websites' performance, including load times and responsiveness.
  5. Ensure the implementation of robust security measures to protect web applications from vulnerabilities.
  6. Ensure all web pages meet the latest accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to provide a better user experience for all users.
  7. Conduct regular code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and ensure adherence to best practices.
  8. Work closely with the marketing, brand & web design team to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality and alignment with marketing and branding direction.
  9. Maintain comprehensive documentation for all development processes, codebases, and system architectures.
  10. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.
  11. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development to keep our processes and applications current.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in people management.
  2. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks like React and Next JS.
  3. Experience with various CMS platforms and implementing them.
  4. Experience with performance tuning, caching strategies, and front-end performance tools.
  5. Deep understanding of web security principles and practices.
  6. Deep understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
  7. Expertise with Git and other version control systems.
  8. Good understanding of backend technologies.
  9. Proficient with collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  11. Attention to detail down to pixel-perfect execution.
  12. A team player, willing to jump in and roll up your sleeves with some design work or other tasks needed to keep a project moving.
  13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  14. Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
