About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Lead to join our team at PEPCO Poland Sp. z o.o. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the lease lifecycle, including uploading contracts, amendments, and terminations into the lease management system. Additionally, you will oversee the preparation of monthly journal entries for IFRS 16 and IAS 17 adjustments.

You will ensure accurate preparation and review of financial reports and required disclosures, in compliance with IFRS 16 and IAS 17. This includes lease schedules, ROU asset calculations, and lease liability adjustment. Collaboration with Property, Accounting, Reporting, FP&A, Commercial Finance, and Legal teams is essential to address lease-related reporting requirements and resolve discrepancies.

You will also support the forecasting and budgeting process by providing detailed lease-related data, analytics, and insights. Participation in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with lease accounting standards, is also a key responsibility.

As a leader in this role, you will oversee the successful implementation of the system and its integration with another system. You will act as the system owner, responsible for continuous improvement of the tool, managing system upgrades, and resolving technical issues in collaboration with IT and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the lease lifecycle, including contract uploads and termination processing.
  • Prepare and review financial reports and disclosures, ensuring compliance with IFRS 16 and IAS 17.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address lease-related reporting requirements.
  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes with detailed lease-related data and analytics.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring lease accounting compliance.
  • Oversee system implementation, upgrades, and technical issue resolution.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in lease management, financial reporting, or related fields.
  • Expertise in preparing and reviewing financial reports, journal entries, and compliance with IFRS 16 and IAS 17.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and driving high performance.
  • Demonstrated experience centralizing and standardizing lease management processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or similar accounting certification preferred.
  • Fluency in English (B2 written and verbal) is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of lease accounting standards, financial reporting, and understanding of forecasting/budgeting processes.
