Become a key player in shaping the market risk landscape at BNY Mellon. As a Vice President, Market Risk Reporting, you will be instrumental in developing a deep understanding of our end-to-end risk reporting process, identifying and addressing reporting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement reporting automation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain risk reporting processes and tools to ensure accurate and timely reporting of market risk data.
  • Collaborate with the US team to investigate daily reporting issues and manage restatements if necessary.
  • Design, build, and implement reporting automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work closely with Technology, Front Office, Finance, and Risk Management teams to ensure seamless integration and effective risk management.
  • Provide business requirements for the implementation of new technologies and tools.
  • Apply broad knowledge of market risk management best practices, financial markets, and trading instruments to analyze, monitor, and measure risk.
  • Partner with the business to develop and implement tools and procedures to measure and monitor multiple risks hierarchically and across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in market risk and/or front office risk, preferably with a strong background in math, statistics, finance, economics, risk management, or a similar field.
  • Broad understanding of major financial instruments and their associated risk profiles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract and analyze large volumes of data using technical tools such as SQL, VBA, Python, etc.
  • Experience in building dashboards and reports using Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Fluency in English, both conversational and written.
  • Ability to think and operate strategically and independently.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate business needs to clear and concrete requirements for Technology to implement.
