BNY Mellon is seeking an exceptional candidate to join our Model Risk Management team as a Vice President. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the development of enterprise-wide models and drive risk management excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of highly visible enterprise-wide models
  • Review and identify risks associated with various types of models, including credit risk, treasury modeling, market risk, pricing, and forecasting
  • Propose remediation plans and mitigation controls
  • Design and maintain tools for model validation
  • Closely collaborate with the modeling team
  • Summarize model performance in validation reports

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree/PhD in a quantitative discipline, including engineering, mathematics, physics, statistics, economics, with a strong theoretical foundation and programming, documentation, and communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial services
  • Knowledge and familiarity with diverse model risk concepts
  • Experience with complex quantitative modeling, numerical analysis, and computational methods
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, R, or C++
  • Focused, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
