About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled News Reporter/Translator with Spanish language expertise to join our team at Thomson Reuters. As a key member of our newsroom, you will be responsible for searching through approved sources to grasp and translate news, translating market reports and stories from English to Spanish, and applying news judgment to pick relevant news and package it for our online clients.

About You

  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Strong translation skills
  • Strong news judgment
  • Ability to write with speed, clarity, accuracy, and freedom from bias
  • A sound command of grammar, spelling, punctuation
  • Comfort with handling financial data and facts accurately and quickly
  • Knowledge of corporate activity, stock markets, and financial vocabulary, or an ability to gain such knowledge quickly
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Willingness to undertake shifts
