About the Role

We are seeking a skilled News Reporter/Translator with Spanish language expertise to join our team at Thomson Reuters. As a key member of our newsroom, you will be responsible for searching through approved sources to grasp and translate news, translating market reports and stories from English to Spanish, and applying news judgment to pick relevant news and package it for our online clients.

About You

  • You possess fluency in English and Spanish, with strong translation skills and a sound command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • You have a strong news judgment and the ability to write with speed, clarity, accuracy, and freedom from bias.
  • You are comfortable handling financial data and facts accurately and quickly, and have knowledge of corporate activity, stock markets, and financial vocabulary.
  • You are able to work under time pressure and are willing to undertake shifts.
