RWE Renewables Poland Sp. z o.o is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Development Team Lead to support the Polish PV and Wind Onshore development teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert development support in the area of environmental permitting, zoning, building permits, grid connection, process and document management.
  • Support delivery of solar PV, wind onshore and storage projects in Poland.
  • Contribute to the mid and long-term EU wind onshore, solar PV & storage view, specifically the country/s contribution to the cluster and finally to the EU strategy.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Leading and growing of the Development Support team in Poland.
  • Manage personal development of team members.
  • Implement integrated structures and processes across three technologies: PV, storage and wind onshore.
  • Drive and implement change via the Green Engine Project as well as other initiatives to improve efficiency and deliverability of PV and wind onshore projects in Poland.
  • Support implementation of innovative projects, including small grid operating entities, cable pooling, hybrid development of PV/wind/storage, project clustering for TSO level connections and direct line connections.
  • Deliver results on time and on budget as requested by business functions in areas such as environmental application, process and decisions, grid connection applications and agreements, zoning decisions and plans, RES Auctions prequalification and bid submissions, GIS analysis, process management and reporting, design and improvement of development processes and reporting frameworks.
  • Contribute to Cluster and EU onshore strategy elaborating mid and long-term plans for development support activities.
  • Internal stakeholders - close cooperation with origination, PV, wind teams, key accounts managers for external developers and relevant support functions in an international environment.
  • Managing development support budget.
  • External stakeholder management - securing information regarding regulations, market trends and conditions, competitors etc., active participation and representation of RWE interests in technology events.
  • Building up and developing team of experts in respective support functions.
  • Understanding renewables business environment in Poland and staying informed about regulatory and market conditions for PV & storage through internal updates, legal support, industry news and channels, associations etc.

Your Profile:

  • Deep knowledge of Renewable Energy Sector in Poland.
  • At least 5 years of experience within renewables market in Poland, preferably within field of project origination and development.
  • Understanding of technical and commercial correlations influencing project profitability.
  • Ability to identify and develop mitigation of key drivers impacting wind onshore, PV & storage development process.
  • Proven experience in leading teams - ability to lead and motivate development teams.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to work within matrix management structure.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Languages: Fluent Polish and English mandatory, additional languages an advantage.
