Cloud Architect Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Architect to join our team at Ibm Polska Sp. z o.o. as a Lead Cloud Architect for IBM. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for our clients, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Design and guide various Cloud Pack platform installations, including Cloud Pack for Data installations, to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
  • Solution Development: Develop and maintain solution designs documentation and deliverables, creating solution blueprints, estimates, gap analysis, and conceptual designs/customer demos.
  • Project Coordination: Engage with multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines, collaborating with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Customer Support: Act as a central point of contact across various teams working on the solution – the client teams, IBM, and IBM partners.
  • Mentorship: Actively mentor junior engineers and guide them on Cloud Pak for Data.

Requirements:

  • Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering/STEM.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud platforms, including design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of operating systems, databases, virtual platforms, and distributed applications.
  • Experience: Experience in creating solution design, estimates, customer demos.
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and creative approach to problem-solving, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
