Sunscrapers is a leading force in software development, expanding its presence in a data-centric environment. We're seeking a Principal Data Analyst to join our mission to help clients grow and innovate through a comprehensive tech stack and robust data-related projects. As a key member of our team, you'll design and implement a system supporting the investment process for a US-based venture capital firm. Your responsibilities will include:

* Working closely with the product team in the US (east and west coasts)
* Integrating data from multiple systems and sources to enable data insights, machine learning, and data-driven decision processes
* Translating business needs into technical requirements
* Partnering with stakeholders to resolve key data issues involving the quality and consistency of data for analytical purposes
* Enhancing the organization's capabilities for self-service data and analytics
* Building and managing data visualization in BI tooling
* Tackling challenging technical problems and finding solutions

Requirements:

* At least 7 years of professional experience as a data analyst/engineer
* Proficiency in Python
* Excellent experience of complex SQL query writing on Snowflake or alternatives
* Strong experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, Sigma
* Good expertise in relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
* Expertise in DBT and DBT Cloud
* Proficiency in data architecture and modeling
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
* Passion about good engineering practices and ability to inspire the team
* Experience with Git version control systems
* Passion, self-reliance, and a 'get things done' approach
* Proactiveness and positive attitude to work
* Fluent English (C1 or above)
* Intellectual curiosity and interest in venture & startups
* Self-drive and passion for taking ownership of your work and delivering outcomes
