Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our global team, you will design and specify Unit Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Low Voltage Wiring systems for Rotating Machinery used in Industrial Applications.

About the Role

As a Senior Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and specifying Unit Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Low Voltage Wiring systems for Rotating Machinery used in Industrial Applications.
  • Creating design drawings, including control panel layout, I/O termination, control panel power distribution, instrumentation installation, motor control schematics, and hardwired backup control circuits.
  • Specifying and calculating control valves.
  • Incorporating Siemens Energy design standards and guidelines and adapting the assigned scope to meet project-specific requirements.
  • Conducting Unit Control Panel factory acceptance tests (FAT).
  • Monitoring and managing the engineering schedule and hours-budget for the assigned scope.
  • Conducting timely design reviews on the assigned scope and contributing to project design reviews.
  • Supporting detail engineering in cooperation with internal and external Customers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Instrumentation/Controls/Electrotechnical or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Rotating Equipment (Compressors, Turbines) for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other Process Industry applications.
  • Experience in Electrical Equipment Engineering and application experience with objects-oriented Engineering Software, COMOS PT.
  • Knowledge and use of software: Teamcenter, SAP, Jira, Microsoft office.
  • Know-how of standards: API 670 (Machinery Protection System), IEC Explosive Atmosphere Standards), IEC 61511: Functional safety - Safety instrumented systems for the process industry sector.
  • Good Analytical & Cross-cultural skill set.
  • Proficiency in English Language.
