Job Summary

The Construction Coordinator graduate plays a key role in representing the construction functional group and serving as a link between Construction and the Engineering/Procurement teams. Participates in project meetings to represent construction, prepares and provides input to execution planning, schedules, cost, and general construction execution. Develops a working knowledge of construction procedures, work processes, and automation tools used by construction and other functional organizations. Ensures that construction requirements are made known to the project team in a timely manner and obtains construction responses to the needs of other members of the project team. Early participation in the design development process by providing constructability input, with a focus on improving construction safety and quality, while seeking to optimize cost and schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of constructability concepts.
  • Participate in constructability reviews during the design process.
  • Collaborate with the development of construction procedures, plans, and strategy documents.
  • Work with the design teams to ensure requirements are incorporated into the design, layout, and specifications.
  • Review lessons learnt from other projects and construction best practices.
  • Monitor and track engineering action items critical to support construction activities.
  • Monitor the completeness of engineering and procurement deliverables to support the construction schedule.
  • Support establishment of logistics strategy with design and procurement teams.
  • Support engineering and procurement schedule development.
  • Support Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (required on-site date) schedule optimization.
  • Participate in engineering and procurement schedule review meetings.
  • Utilize the plant design model to support the development of construction sequencing.
  • Monitor consistency of engineering data to ensure compatibility with construction automation tools.
  • Maintain communication with the field organization and office project team members regarding significant problem areas and potential solutions.
  • Support the construction review of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate the construction review of vendor drawings, shop fabrication details, and erection procedures, on behalf of construction
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or another relevant technical discipline from an accredited university with 1 year experience

Preferred Skills

Ability to work and remain in Poland without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H)
Demonstrated commitment to a Zero Accident safety program
Must be computer-literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
Experience resolving problems involving multiple parties
Strong communication skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
