At Playtika, we are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Technical Lead to spearhead the development of a cutting-edge machine learning platform.

This pioneering platform aims to democratize AI capabilities across the company by providing essential components such as feature stores, model registries, experiment management, and comprehensive CI/CD support for model services and ML pipelines.

The platform is constantly evolving to incorporate innovative features that support Generative AI and agentic approaches to AI development, allowing us to stay at the forefront of industry trends.

As the ML Platform Tech Lead, you will collaborate closely with a team of skilled developers and work alongside a Team Lead who possesses expertise in key development areas. Our team employs agile methodologies in our daily work and is dedicated to building scalable, user-friendly ML infrastructure.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of core platform components.
  • Driving the integration of Generative AI and agentic AI components to enhance the platform's capabilities.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company needs and industry best practices.
  • Mentoring and supporting team members to foster continuous learning and growth.
  • Integrating and optimizing open-source solutions within the platform (e.g., Kubeflow Pipelines, ZenML, BentoML, Langchain) and incorporating additional tools as needed.

Our ideal candidate should possess:

  • A strong understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency in Java (Spring / JPA) and Python (FastApi / SqlAlchemy), with a solid background in software engineering and ML platform development.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with open-source or vendor-provided ML tools and infrastructure like MLFlow, MetaFlow, DataRobot, or similar.
  • Experience with Spark and other big data tools is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring development teams in complex technical projects.
  • A proactive mindset for innovation, particularly around ML and AI platform improvements.
