About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our global category strategy for electronics and mechanical parts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, business administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

As a Global Category Leader, you will be responsible for defining and managing sourcing categories to meet suppliers' performance standards.

You will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders to drive business growth, improve productivity, and optimize supply base performance.

Your primary focus will be on planning, driving, and implementing direct material spend purchasing activities under defined categories.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for designing, communicating, and executing a roadmap for annual plans and long-term strategies.
  • Ensure bottom-up alignment of sourcing activities with top targets (productivity, T&C improvements).
  • Manage supply base risk mitigation and define SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) including contracting.
  • Contribute to global Direct Material & Supply Base Performance, ensuring consistent application of sourcing levers.
  • Represent commodities within the Product Division organization, supporting NPI, obsolescence, phase-out.
  • Discipline continuous improvement: policy, procedures, tools, and reporting.
  • Ensure Dover standards are communicated and applied by suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering required, completed by Business Administration, Purchasing, or similar.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role in an industrial and international environment.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Synthetic vision, results-driven in a structured approach, ability to build complex contractual agreements.
  • Excel and MS Office solid skills, ERP knowledge, SAP is a plus.
  • Polish and English fluent.
  • Availability to travel on a regular basis both locally and globally.
