Enterprise Architect - US Region

HSBC Service Delivery is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team in the US Region. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in defining our technology vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving the adoption of Group architecture practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise-level technology change portfolio, ensuring coherence and alignment with business strategy.
  • Support the development and implementation of architecture strategy and standards, driving value stream adoption and ensuring consistency across core capabilities.
  • Validate domain and market target state roadmaps, enriching aspirations to balance discrete needs, US-specific, and group-wide directions.
  • Influence architecture and design within the architecture discipline, ensuring consistent implementation across core capabilities and driving strategy realization.
  • Consult on new best practices, processes, operating models, techniques, products, services, technologies, and standards, via appropriate governance bodies.
  • Collaborate with peers and senior colleagues to ensure team vitality and adaptability to high degrees of change and challenge.
Requirements:
  • Experience in digital and broader architectural transformation, applying solutions from decomposing monolithic solutions and managing technical legacy.
  • Ability to understand, articulate, and translate journeys into technical design, leveraging API and micro-service architecture techniques.
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of enterprise-level software development and API-based integration, e.g., Mulesoft, Kong.
  • Data platform and capabilities, including excellent understanding of data architectures, strategies, tools, and operational needs.
  • Ability to participate in technical design and oversee all technology-related issues of cloud-native product development, building micro-services-based architecture, promoting API reuse, and managing down technical legacy.
  • Experience in Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture methods, and any certifications advantageous.
  • Experience and knowledge of Agile principles and processes, leading teams in agile at-scale methods using DevOps tools and processes.
  • Understanding of cloud-based technology at scale and cloud solutions, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and up-to-date on cloud development trends, as well as sound knowledge on Digital-related technologies.
