Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Management Specialist to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY POLAND SP. Z O.O. This individual will be responsible for implementing and adhering to SCM strategies, processes, and ensuring material availability, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness in the factory.

The successful candidate will support the Factory SCM Manager in managing assigned spend with a short-term and medium-term sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, quality, and reliability of supplies. They will collaborate with factory and HUB stakeholders to support project implementation and undertakings.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage local allocated direct spend in accordance with instructions and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Category Managers to optimize cost, submit requests for quotation, and drive cost savings projects.
  • Identify new suppliers, qualify new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.
  • Negotiate agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renew pricelists, terms, and conditions.
  • Support the material price and Terms & Conditions control throughout the value chain.
  • Support Factory SCM in material cost cutting and risk mitigation projects.
  • Measure gaps tender/actuals, investigate root causes, and take adequate corrective/preventive measures.
  • Support tender material costing and running tender specific negotiations where applicable.
  • Support in liaison to Planning & Fulfillment team in the ERP data management under Supply Chain Management responsibility.
  • Support analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Work on improving assigned supplier performance measurement and improvement tasks.
  • Support assigned claim management to maximize compensation to HITACHI ENERGY and escalate as necessary.
  • Support SCM related local activities for R&D, DTV, New Product Introduction, product cost improvement project.

Your Background

  • Master's degree in Logistics, Economics, Engineering, or similar field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement.
  • Very good knowledge of contract management, Microsoft Office, and knowledge of SAP S4HANA is highly beneficial.
  • Fluent in Polish and English.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Team spirit and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently.
