About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics PCB Design and Development Engineer to join our R&D team in Krakow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new power electronic converter cells and sub-systems for our converter stations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new power electronic converter cells and sub-systems for our converter stations.
  • Take responsibility for specification, selection, qualification, and verification of semiconductors, passive components, and protection concepts.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies on converter topologies and gain knowledge on Power Grids applications and requirements.
  • Support a fast, iterative design process in a cross-functional, dedicated team.
  • Build up and maintain measurement and test setups to verify performance, efficiency, and robustness.
  • Contribute to solving technical challenges related to EMC/EMI, thermal management, and safety.

About You

We are looking for a curious and interested individual who is passionate about sustainability and the ongoing energy transition. You should have a MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable field, and at least 5 years of professional experience working in the field. You should also have proven experience with development processes for power electronic converters or power supplies, and be competent with working with laboratory equipment and converter prototyping and testing.
