Be a part of our team as a Application Operations Engineer API

In this role, you will be a key member of our international team responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating a new application for individual payments transactions using API and Cloud services. Your primary responsibility will be to understand applications, data flows, and their business purpose to integrate new modules, changes, or releases and ensure the whole operations. You will support various installation instances (integration/acceptance and production environment) and be responsible for processing and transport of deployment packages from development to production environments. Additionally, you will maintain stable operation of production, handle incidents, problems, and changes, and communicate with developers and other operation teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a broker between the user's side (collect, evaluate, analyze requirements for error correction enhancements) and the vendor of payment's software who fulfill those requirements.
  • Control and monitor the decentralized Java application.
  • Implement change requests in the production process via CI/CD pipeline.
  • Assure the uninterrupted availability of systems and applications.
  • Perform manual intervention in automatic processes in conjunction with the project manager or on request.
  • Handle changes, problems, and incidents.
  • Support rollouts in production.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Good knowledge of Operating Systems: Windows Server 2016 and 2022, Windows 10, Linux.
  • Basic knowledge of OpenShift (experience with container management systems like Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, or Docker).
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud: MS Azure (nice to have experience with cloud Azure alternative with AWS, GCP).
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD deployment tools.
  • Basic knowledge of API (experience with monitoring of API, deployment of API).
  • English: B2.
