We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Expert to join our team at EcoVadis. As a Sustainability Expert, you will play a crucial role in assessing and reporting on the quality and robustness of sustainability management systems of companies from around the world.
Your primary responsibility will be to apply the EcoVadis methodology, built on rigorous international Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards and frameworks, to analyze a company's management system documentation. You will become an expert in this methodology and work independently to assess companies' sustainability management systems.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of companies, each with unique contexts and challenges. You will be responsible for extracting and synthesizing material sustainability data related to environmental, social, ethics, and supply chain aspects. You will also follow up with rated companies to clarify specific issues related to their assessment.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a team environment. You will be responsible for completing quality checks during the assessment process and confirming the implementation of a rated company's sustainability management system components using the EcoVadis methodology guidelines.
We offer a comprehensive training program designed to master the topics of sustainability, including the EcoVadis methodology. You will have the opportunity to work on development projects to grow other aspects of your career and collaborate with colleagues from our international team of analysts.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and report on the quality and robustness of sustainability management systems of companies from around the world
- Apply the EcoVadis methodology to analyze a company's management system documentation
- Extract and synthesize material sustainability data related to environmental, social, ethics, and supply chain aspects
- Follow up with rated companies to clarify specific issues related to their assessment
- Complete quality checks during the assessment process
- Confirm the implementation of a rated company's sustainability management system components using the EcoVadis methodology guidelines
- Minimum 6 months professional experience in a related field, ideally in sustainability or sustainable development
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and oral) - other languages are a plus
- High proficiency in German is a great asset
- Preferably Bachelor's degree with a focus on sustainability as a plus
- Proficiency in G-Suite applications
- Strong reading and comprehension skills
- Demonstrate analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confidence to work independently and autonomously, manage time effectively, and know when to ask for help
- Ability to work to daily targets
