Developing Technology for Global Use

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team in Poznań, Poland. As a key member of our Operational Technology & Electrical Project Management section, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of our software systems for automation, control, and manufacturing execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use your programming skills in PLC and SCADA control systems to develop and maintain our software systems.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of the Siemens PLC software and WinCC SCADA platform.
  • Coordinate specific projects with our local factories and the rest of the project team involved.
  • Train and guide colleagues from all over Rockwool in the solutions we develop.
  • Handle requests for third-line support from our factories.

As an Automation Specialist, you will work closely with our hardware engineer, mechanical engineer, and project manager to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. You will be responsible for your own deliveries in ad hoc project teams and will be involved in 2-5 projects parallel.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Siemens TIA PLC software and WinCC SCADA platform.
  • Experience with C++, C, VBA, R, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills, and you are fluent in English.
