Climate Project Manager Job Description

AXA XL is seeking a Climate Project Manager to oversee the implementation of cross-functional climate-related initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are managed in a holistic fashion, meeting operational, business, and regulatory deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project initiation: Set up and launch projects, working closely with stakeholders across business and functions.
  • Project execution: Work with workstream leads and business product owners to execute and monitor projects against milestones and KPIs.
  • Change Management: Identify key change management steps and ensure activities are followed to ensure project success.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and formalize key issues and risks, driving resolution and raising decisions to the appropriate governance committee.
  • Project Reporting: Manage overall communication to stakeholders.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Bring focused technical or topical expertise to the team.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in project management in the insurance industry and international environment.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Robust organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Outstanding business acumen.
  • Analytical skills to address complex issues.
  • Interest in the role of re/insurance in managing climate-related risks and opportunities.
