Senior Site Reliability Engineer

At OLX, we're looking for a skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our GenAI team. As a key member of our SRE organization, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the scalability, high-availability, deployment, and performance of our large-scale infrastructure.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with our development team to provide support and ensure the smooth operation of our systems.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and proactively prevent production issues, sharing knowledge and responsibility within the organization.
  • Automate processes and configure as code to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Take operational responsibility for our services, including participating in an on-call rotation and practicing balanced incident response and blameless postmortems.
  • Work closely with our GenAI team to drive innovation and improvement.

You Have:

  • Proficiency in Python and experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Go, etc.
  • Understanding of containers and container orchestration, including Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with Gitlab and/or Jenkins pipelines as code.
  • Strong skills in fixing and debugging systems and networks.
  • Technical understanding and hands-on experience with performance, reliability, observability, and incident management tools and methodologies.
  • Enthusiasm and initiative in embedding a DevOps mindset into our ways of working, implementing automation, and tightening feedback loops.
  • Experience in problem-solving deployment using software engineering principles.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging systems (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining technical documentation and procedures.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with MLOps.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Kinesis, SQS, Lambda (in particular in Python).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Athena, EMR, Glue.
  • Hands-on experience with compliance with GDPR.
