Accounting Specialist BeNeLux Region

As a key member of the BeNeLux region's financial team, you will play a vital role in supporting our operations across primarily this region and also other countries within the EMEA region. This position has primary responsibility for preparing and supporting various aspects of the monthly close process, responsible for preparing statutory accounts, managing audits, support for tax provision and tax filing, following global accounting policies and other ad-hoc projects for the region.

This role requires interaction with several key stakeholders as part of both daily responsibilities and project teams, including Finance, Business Unit Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal and Corporate Accounting.

  • Lead the preparation and maintenance of accurate and timely monthly reporting and statutory accounts in compliance with relevant regulations and standards mainly for Dutch entities.
  • Support the EMEA FI Team for tax provision and reconciliation including a fiscal unity.
  • VAT preparation for NL entities and occasional support for other countries when needed.
  • Provide oversight on certain control reviews and control implementation.
  • Collaborate with External Auditors to support Avient's audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function, implementing best practices to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Support regional and corporate initiatives.
  • Other projects according to business requirements.
