Project Designer

About the Role

As a Project Designer at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for leading the technical design of rotating machinery projects, working closely with a multi-disciplinary engineering team. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and developing compressor packages that meet customer and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and layout rotating compressor packages based on detailed customer and engineering specifications.
• Develop mechanical systems, including structural base frames, instrumentation, and piping systems.
• Create 3D models of packages, incorporating internal and supplier designs.
• Produce general arrangement drawings and assembly/sub-assembly drawings with related bills of material.
• Ensure that all drawings meet industry, departmental, and field standards.
• Collaborate with production operations to solve drawing-related issues.
• Participate in design review processes to prevent future design errors.
• Coordinate with other functional departments and suppliers to meet technical requirements and execute orders timely.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in CAD/design, with an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D CAD systems, with experience in NX preferred.
• Excellent digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Experience with COMOS or SAP Spherion/Atlas is an advantage.
• Proficient in the English language and excellent communication skills.
