SAP Basis Administrator Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our team at Sonova. This is a full-time position that will involve managing and monitoring SAP systems and databases, providing support to other SAP teams, and working with IT Operations to design and implement controls for new technologies.

Your Tasks:

  • Install, manage, monitor, tune, and troubleshoot SAP systems and databases in accordance with defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage and monitor operating systems on all SAP Systems.
  • Provide SAP basis support to other SAP Teams.
  • Work with IT Operations team members to design and implement controls for new technologies, systems, and their supporting infrastructure to ensure systems are available and recoverable in accordance with our service level agreements.
  • Perform off-hours maintenance to ensure our systems are available and secure.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call program for after-hours emergency support.
  • Provide guidance to other SAP Basis/Auths Team members including external contractors.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in the Information Technology Field.
  • 5+ years of SAP Basis core support including transport management, patching, enhancement packages, and version upgrades.
  • 2+ years of SAP HANA database maintenance, performance tuning, upgrading, and administering.
  • Experience implementing and migrating large-scale SAP enterprise-wide applications and databases to new platforms and versions.
  • Ability in project planning and execution.
  • IT Skills: SAP NW 7.4+, SAP HANA 2.0+, MS SQL Server 2016+, MS Windows Server 2019+, SUSE Linux 12+, MS Active Directory, MS DNS & DHCP, Network (IP, Subnet, WLAN, VPN, etc).
Requirements and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP Basis administration, including SAP HANA expertise. They should also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with project planning and execution.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
