Financial Operations Accountant for Treasury

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Accountant for Treasury to join our team at the VELUX Group. As a key member of our Shared Service Centre in Warsaw, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of payments, reviewing payment proposals for completeness and accuracy, and resolving any issues related to automatic payment runs and manual payments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring all payments are executed according to payment terms and payment schedule
  2. Reviewing payment proposals for completeness and accuracy – performing quality checks
  3. Resolving any issues with automatic payment runs and manual payments
  4. Administering company credit cards
  5. Short-term cash flow forecasting and supporting the Global Treasury Manager with analysis of variances for long-term cash pool
  6. Overseeing daily Group cash positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for multiple currencies
  7. Responsible for the administration of treasury-related technology and platforms (connection between SAP vs bank, trading platforms, data feeds, bank portals, etc.)
  8. Providing analysis for daily reconciliation of bank accounts, ensuring accuracy in managing financial transactions
  9. Investigating and resolving issues related to cash settlements and the execution of payments
  10. Maintaining strong communications with banks and other financial institutions
  11. Reviewing and driving improvements in cash management, ensuring financial obligations are met according to company policies and procedures
  12. Participating in internal/external audits and quality assurance testing to uphold compliance standards and ensure the quality and continuity of operations
  13. Supporting daily VELUX Finance India Teams (knowing their area of responsibility)

Your qualifications should include:

  • Good understanding of financial accounting and treasury area
  • Ownership mentality, willingness to roll up the sleeves, and drive resolution of complex financial dilemmas
  • Good knowledge of SAP transactions & Office 365 tools (Excel especially)
  • Prior work experience with moving process to SAP 4HANA would be an asset
  • Fluent communication in English, other language (French, German, or Italian) will be an asset
  • Self-driven, proactive, and flexible

  • High sense of responsibility
  • Clear communication skills and a constructive mindset towards challenges
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
