As a Senior Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a complex audit unit within Internal Audit.

Your key objective will be to develop and execute a robust Audit Plan, directing complex audit activities for a component of the business at a regional or country level. You will work closely with the Audit team to ensure the global audit plan aligns with strategic objectives and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading a team of Internal Audit professionals, recruiting staff, leading professional development, building effective teams, and managing a budget.
  2. Delivering high-quality audit reports, ensuring internal audit and regulatory issue validation, and providing business monitoring and governance committee reports.
  3. Overseeing reviews for all types of reviews, including the most complex, and reviewing and approving Business Monitoring Quarterly Summaries.
  4. Participating in major business initiatives and proactively advising and assisting the business on change initiatives.
  5. Implementing integrated auditing concepts and technology, following trends in the Audit field, and adapting them for the Audit function.
  6. Analyzing report findings, recommending interventions where needed, and proposing creative and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues.
  7. Partnering with Directors and Managing Directors to develop approaches for addressing broader corporate emerging issues.
  8. Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a related role (Compliance Audit or Compliance Testing) covering Markets, Services, or Banking businesses or relevant Product Compliance Teams.

Requirements include:

  1. A deep understanding of key laws, rules, and regulations related to Markets, Services, or Banking.
  2. Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA, or similar) are preferred.
  3. Demonstrated successful experience in business, functional, and people management.
  4. Proven ability to execute concurrently on a portfolio of high-quality deliverables according to strict timetables.
  5. Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement and innovation in audit tools and techniques.
  6. Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  7. Able to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.
  8. Effective negotiation skills.
