About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Indirect Tax Compliance Specialist. As a key member of our indirect tax compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company's indirect tax obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collate and download ERP data to prepare and support outsourced processes for the preparation of indirect tax returns.
  • Perform quality controls, approve, and pay indirect tax returns drafted by our Tax Co-Sourcing partner.
  • Ensure that internal and statutory timelines for indirect tax filing and payments are adhered to.
  • Highlight any potential indirect tax risks and/or opportunities identified through the indirect tax compliance process and perform defined actions to manage these opportunities and risks.
  • Reconcile and clear indirect tax general ledgers and ensure integrity and accuracy of those accounts for management/tax authorities.
  • Provide support in relation to queries/audits raised by tax authorities in the relevant territories.
  • Engage with external auditors for the provision of documentation and resolving queries.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize indirect tax compliance processes and controls and implement process improvements.
  • Streamline and update policies, operating procedures, and documentation as process changes occur.
  • Provide review support to territories in which the indirect tax return process is managed locally.
  • Coordinate and manage external advisors when required.
  • Support on functional requirements for ERP and boundary systems.
  • Assist in implementation of e-invoicing and digital reporting initiatives.
  • Provide and maintain indirect tax guidelines and training for internal stakeholders.
  • Support the business by onboarding new entities.
