Job Title: System Test Engineering Supervisor

As a System Test Engineering Supervisor at BorgWarner, you will lead a team of Systems Test Engineers and System Automation Test Engineers to ensure the system qualification processes and activities are completed for assigned projects. This role requires collaboration with hardware and software teams throughout the product development process, including setting up, troubleshooting, and testing electrification products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Systems Test Engineers and system qualification activities
  • Develop and implement system qualification test strategies
  • Oversee and perform Systems functional testing, preparing results
  • Support customer interface for System qualification issues, in collaboration with the System Test Lead
  • Conduct Performance Reviews for team members
  • Participate in Peer Reviews of System Integration & Qualification Strategy and Test Specifications
  • Interface and support System Integration Test Engineers and System Test Automation Engineers
  • Participate in Test Spec Defect Process
  • Support hiring and interviewing candidates
  • Develop and maintain Defect Tracking Process across all projects
  • Ensure adherence to ASpice Levels across all PDS projects
  • Support Audits on the Project for all levels of testing
  • Support Bench definition/configuration required for Testing
  • Develop and execute test cases on relevant benches
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree in Electric, Electronic, Mechatronics, or similar; Master's degree in a related technical field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as Systems/SW Test Leader or supervisor position
  • Experience in writing and deploying Test processes across the Organization
  • Ability to work in a hands-on manner and under limited supervision
  • High awareness and adherence to high voltage safety standards and procedures
  • Experience in writing Test specifications on Requirements and Designs
  • Experience with different Test Generation Methodologies
  • Experience in executing Tests on various test environments
  • DSpace/NI/CAN Tool experience (CANstress, CANoe, etc.)
  • Experience with Defect Tracking Process Tools
  • Understanding of Automotive Spice and all Test Levels
  • Understanding of ALM/PLM requirement management Tools
  • Fluency in English is required; German is an advantage
  • Travel 10% required, domestic and international
