About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Category Fleet Specialist to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY SERVICES SP. Z O.O. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting global sourcing initiatives and ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the global category manager and business stakeholders.
  • Leverage the purchasing power of HITACHI ENERGY on a global scale to achieve set performance targets.
  • Support global sourcing initiatives for the global Fleet category, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies.
  • Run benchmark studies for the category team and for specific sourcing initiatives.
  • Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and service providers to secure advantageous terms and periodically renew price lists.
  • Perform RFIs/RFQs, e-Auctions for various countries and evaluate supplier bids.
  • Run regional/local sourcing initiatives under a defined threshold.
  • Create local contract amendments for frame agreements on behalf of a country and update/maintain frame contracts.
  • Manage the cooperation with a portfolio of approved suppliers and oversee their performance.
  • On-board new suppliers in close collaboration with the respective local stakeholders and provide supplier reports to business and category manager.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor and track supplier performance to set price and service levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and prepare adequate supply.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Supply Chain/Business Administration/Finance or related field or appropriate work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Supply Chain Role or equivalent, ideally around fleet management and strategic sourcing of Indirect Materials & Services in a company.
  • Strong knowledge/use of MS office tools including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.
  • English language level C1.
  • International experience in a corporate environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influential skills in an intercultural multi-business environment and be able to negotiate terms and conditions as well as prices that align with business objectives.
  • Organized, self-disciplined, and timely in handling requests associated with the job, bringing efficiency and speed to the process. Strong execution skills.
  • Pro-actively participates as a team member in achieving team goals.
  • Adapts easily to new situations and enjoys handling of new challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously and optimally in the organization.
  • Pro-active, motivated, and committed to developing own knowledge and skills.
  • Solid knowledge of the Supply Chain Process related to Fleet Administration and Expense Reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of different supply chains and logistics structures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SAP ARIBA system would be an asset.
