As a Reporting Actuary at Aviva Services Excellence Centre, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality actuarial reporting services, leading the reporting team, and driving improvements in the reporting process. You will also contribute expert input to ALPI's finance transformation programme and support the management of audit relationships and processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesMain Tasks:
- Deliver specified aspects of ALPI's actuarial reporting to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Lead the reporting team and provide guidance on reporting best practices.
- Drive improvements in the reporting process, outputs, and communications.
- Contribute expert input to ALPI's finance transformation programme.
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place and operated in respect of the relevant areas of actuarial reporting.
- Support the management of audit relationships and processes to ensure a clean and timely sign-off.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
- Experienced reporting actuary with at least 3 years of professional experience in Life Insurance companies.
- Knowledge of Solvency II, particularly understanding of solvency II balance sheet and own funds, profit and loss account, and technical provision or knowledge of IFRS17 metrics, including understanding of CSM, risk adjustment, fulfillment cashflows.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - ability to establish and maintain good working collaborations with various departments.
- Good English language skills (working with English-speaking clients plus creating documentation in English).
