About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Specialist to join our Chocolate Development team at Mondelēz International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading or participating in the execution of various Chocolate development projects, ensuring consistency and technical precision, and managing and interpreting research data in a business-relevant way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, and execute small and medium-level projects, developing functional expertise and leading the Pilot Plant Chocolate technology.
  • Develop and implement new chocolate tablets across the MEU Region.
  • Develop new products in line with consumer-centric design and P3DE principles, including prototypes development in the Pilot Plant.
  • Create and implement Digitalization, M&S tools to simplify project development.
  • Develop and agree all Technical Product Documentation (HACCP document, Specification, trails report, FPA-first production approving, Shelf-life tests, etc.).
  • Closely cooperate with Marketing, Operations, Consumer Science, Consumer Insight, Product Change Management, Procurement, Quality, External Manufacturing, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or Food Engineering.
  • Experience in the food industry and confectionery is a strong advantage.
  • General knowledge of food manufacturing technologies, ingredients, and technical curiosity, ability to operate or learn fast how to operate pilot plant equipment.
  • Enthusiasm and full accountability for results, self-standing, open, and ready to learn on the job.
  • Can-do attitude, thinking out of the box, creativity, and happy to take up challenges.
  • Ability to work independently, under time, resources, and data constraints on daily tasks and projects.
  • 1-2 years of experience in product or packaging development will be an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is a must; other European language skills are beneficial.
