Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer to join our team as a Big Data Engineer (Spark/Scala). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions using the latest big data technologies.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Data Solution Design: Design and develop solutions for collecting, transforming, and processing large datasets, using Spark and Scala technologies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teams across different locations, communicating effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and implement data collection, processing jobs, and data mapping using Spark/Scala, while conducting code reviews and collaborating with team members for continuous improvement.
  • Agile Methodologies and Delivery: Contribute to agile feature teams, helping advance agile best practices, and delivering IT solutions in Scrum cycles with tangible business value.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in big data engineering, preferably with a background in banking.
  • Fluency in English, with Polish and French being considered an advantage.
  • Expertise in Spark, Scala, Hive, and SQL, with additional knowledge of Python, Java, DevOps, Big Data, CI/CD tools, microservices, APIs, Airflow, and GIT.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude and strong teamwork ability.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work in a global team across different time zones.
