EDP is accelerating the development and delivery of software products for Elia Group to tackle the massive challenges facing the energy sector. To support this initiative, we're establishing a service-oriented, cloud-native platform that provides self-service capabilities for application teams. We're looking for a talented developer to join our EDP Observability Product Line team.
We need a seasoned developer with extensive experience in observability technologies to contribute to the development and operation of the observability platform. As part of the EDP Observability Product Line team, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the platform.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of the observability platform
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Deploy and maintain the observability stack on-premise
- Document how-tos and best practices for use of platform
- Work with customers to rollout and improve the platform
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for the usage of the platform
- Implement security best practices such as tenant-dependent RBAC for logs, metrics, and traces
This role requires a senior-level developer with deep expertise in Observability technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in Observability
- Able to work within a matrix organization with highly experienced individuals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of project management processes and quality assurance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, agile and scrum methodologies
- Experience with test automation and frameworks/tools in CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation
- Deep understanding of Grafana/Prometheus/ElasticSearch/Kibana/openTelemetry/K8/Kafka
- Understanding of operations of infrastructure in a large-scale cloud environment
- Understanding of cloud platform and the building blocks
- Passion for observability, performance monitoring, and improving customer experience
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, DevOps practices, and IAM/RBAC principles and the associated observability solutions
- Competence in using project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with the essentials of CI/CD pipeline management, including build, image registry, vulnerability scanning, and deployment processes
- Fluent in English written/spoken
