Senior Marine Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Engineer to join our team in Gdansk, Poland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing detailed marine engineering plan reviews, ensuring compliance with RINA rules, international conventions, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of novel aspect designs to ensure highest quality and compliance with applicable standards;
- Resolve issues related to conflicting design requirements and material standards;
- Oversee and manage day-to-day project elements, including site visits to take measurements;
- Review project deliverables, including technical reports and engineering drawings;
- Ensure correct and up-to-date data is used and complete documentation is submitted to officials and other stakeholders;
- Take ownership and responsibility over the financial progress of assigned tasks;
- Apply project management concepts to manage simple and complex projects;
- Assess complex structural problems to determine solutions;
- Provide specialist advice on service delivery, research, or development work.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Naval Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent;
- At least 5 years of related work experience, with previous experience from other IACS Societies an advantage;
- Proven high level of technical and scientific knowledge and ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems;
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English;
- Precise writing communication skills;
- Good oral communication skills and confidence in dealing with a range of people, including clients, contractors, designers, directors, and shipyards;
- Organizational skills, such as time and resources planning;
- Ability to follow established systems and procedures.
As a Senior Marine Engineer at RINA, you can expect:
