About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team at Svitla Systems, Inc. as a Backend Java Developer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop robust backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality microservices.
  • Manage data effectively and ensure data integrity.
  • Write comprehensive tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Contribute to project planning and participate in problem-solving with the team.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience developing Java backend applications.
  • Strong understanding of Spring Boot or similar frameworks and their underlying concepts.
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable microservices architectures.
  • Good knowledge of NoSQL and SQL databases.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design, SOLID principles.
  • Knowledge of Java 8 Date/Time API.
  • Knowledge of streams and records.
  • Knowledge of non-mutability and reduction of setters in favor of constructor injection.
  • Knowledge of JUnit 5 and Mockito.
  • Knowledge of computational complexity theory and CAP theory.
  • Fluent English.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
