Senior Accountant German Market Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Helprise, a leading outsourcing and consultancy firm. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our growing client base in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive accounting procedures, including GL reviews, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Financial statement analysis and compliance with local GAAP / IFRS standards.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in German to effectively communicate with auditors regarding open items.
  • Communicative in English.
  • Degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Previous audit experience (a plus, but not required).
  • Chartered Accountant qualification (a plus, but not essential).
  • Relevant certifications such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent (an advantage).
