Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with model governance policies throughout the model lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update the model inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness of model records.
  • Track the status of models, including their validation, approval, and performance monitoring metrics.
  • Assist in coordinating and conducting periodic model reviews and validations in collaboration with validators.
  • Prepare and present regular model governance reports to senior management and governance committees.
  • Identify opportunities to automate governance processes, reducing manual effort and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage model risk issues, remediation plans, and policy dispensations.
  • Provide guidance to model owners and stakeholders on governance policies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as finance, risk management, data science, computer science, or business. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in model governance, risk management, data analytics, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to model risk management (e.g., SR 11-7, SS1/23).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel).
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
