Job Title: Engineering Lead - Finance

Netguru is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to oversee a finance portfolio of our clients' projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating an environment that fosters outstanding results and upholds our core values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the pre-sales and proposal creation process, participating in the discovery process, and overseeing technical solutions that match client expectations.
  • Set engineering quality baselines and ensure best practices.
  • Proactively analyze and improve the quality of software delivery and ensure it meets the requirements of all stakeholders involved.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports in a group of projects, recommending techniques, approaches, and insights to help them succeed in their roles.
  • Stay up-to-date with milestones, budgets, and project challenges.
  • Set the engineering strategy for the portfolio, responsible for the direction we are going in.
  • Define priorities among stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders on the client's side.
  • Help people within the portfolio achieve client goals by providing a technical perspective.
  • Assess risks and prevent them proactively.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer/Developer and at least 2 years of experience as a Leader/Manager.
  • Experience working in the banking or insurance sector, preferably from a larger organization.
  • Firm grasp of enterprise-ready infrastructure and architecture compliant with finance or insurance regulatory requirements.
  • Good understanding of the software delivery life cycle.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders: technical, non-technical, clients, vendors, RnD, PMO, Discovery Team; manage and balance needs on both sides (internally and externally).
  • Good at working in an environment of changing priorities and complex connections.
  • Ability to set and work with KPIs and align them with a project/team/account.
  • Excellent communication and explanation skills in 1:1 communication, within a team, and across teams.
  • Ability to make swift decisions with limited context and in dynamic situations.
  • Not afraid of making mistakes and know how to learn from them.
  • Work well under pressure and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Can-do attitude and constantly looking for new solutions.
  • Excellent feedback skills.
  • Excellent planning skills; know how to manage activities to achieve specific goals.
  • Excellent knowledge of English (C1+).
  • Strong ability to motivate the team.

  • Experience in working closely with clients.
