We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will collaborate with product engineering teams to deliver and support platforms aligned with cloud well-architected framework pillars. Our technical stack includes ADO, Azure cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Akamai, as well as some on-premise tooling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) that is well-governed, optimized, supportable, and sustainable.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to resolve bottlenecks, incidents, and blockers operationally and strategically.
  • Take part in the platform engineering team on-call rota to ensure seamless operations.
  • Administer the ADO Environment and other platform tooling portals.
  • Lead incident response activities, including immediate mitigation, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations.
  • Mentor team members and lead cross-functional collaboration to support business and engineering objectives.
  • Create and improve infrastructure deployment pipelines written in Terraform and PowerShell.
  • Develop guides and documentation to operate and maintain the infrastructure platform.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents for cloud-native applications.

Core Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience as a DevOps engineer, with a strong background in automation tasks and automated testing.
  • Ability to design, implement, and support CI/CD activities using Azure DevOps, TeamCity, or Octopus.
  • Strong understanding of IaC principles and excellent working knowledge of scripting infrastructure and automation capabilities using tooling such as Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
  • Experience with configuration and administration of CDN and WAF technologies such as Akamai for optimizing and securing web content delivery.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively share technical knowledge and influence decision-making.
  • Good understanding of Azure security controls, capabilities, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in understanding, designing, and managing network configurations that support scenarios involving Azure, Kubernetes, Akamai WAF and CDN, and on-premise connectivity to tools such as TeamCity and Octopus.
  • Experience in engineering and automation of container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Working knowledge in setting up and supporting Kubernetes environments using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with tools like HELM, including deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production.
  • Experience in working with or supporting static and dynamic application security testing tooling in the context of CI/CD and secure software delivery.
  • Able to methodically diagnose issues through logical reasoning and systematic testing.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud services such as Azure API Management, Azure Functions, App Services, Redis Caches, blob storage, and SignalR.
  • Experience with Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) in a cloud-first environment.
