About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our EMEA Studios Accounting Controllership team in Warsaw, Poland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting, as well as providing guidance and support to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and own assigned tasks and processes within accounting area, applying IFRS/US GAAP and relevant local GAAP expertise.
  • Review complex financial reporting transactions, provide guidance to stakeholders, and coordinate technical accounting research to determine proper recognition in line with regulations and company policies.
  • Be a hands-on leader, managing a team of 1-2 Senior Accountants, either directly or indirectly, including their day-to-day activities, deliverables, issue management, as well as holidays and career path.
  • Drive and manage improvements and develop automation of daily/monthly standard tasks accounting processes and workflows.
  • Manage internal and external audit work, including Sox testing, maintenance, and updating of internal controls, Financial Compliance processes.
  • Prepare/Review periodical management reports, BS Flux, and SEC schedules, reconciliations, including applicable regular analyses and metrics, as well as ad hoc reporting.
  • Lead cross-department meetings, document, and track action items, propose solutions, and escalate issues as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in accounting or finance and at least 8 years of accounting/auditing experience in an international environment.
  • Knowledge of media/entertainment industry is considered an advantage.
  • Understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP is a must, with practical end-to-end understanding of reporting impact of accounted transactions necessary to succeed in this role.
  • Knowledge of any of the following country-specific financial reporting jurisdictions is considered an advantage: UK, German, French, Polish, Spanish, and Nordic countries' GAAPs.
  • Proficient and experienced in MS Office applications, with Excel being a must.
  • Experience with enterprise information systems, such as SAP, is a strong plus and preferred.
  • Results-oriented, with strong attention to details, accuracy, timeliness, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Presentation skills, status reporting, issue flagging, public speaking, and exposition of prepared analysis and its implications.
  • High Integrity team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with others and promote positive working relationships across the organization.
  • Motivated by challenging, high-energy, flexible environment, with resilience and ability to work under conditions of pressure and adjust to urgent and changing situations.
  • ACCA, CIMA, or PIBR completed qualification is considered a strong advantage.
