Commodity Price Risk Management Role

We are seeking a skilled Commodity Price Risk Management professional to join our team at Michael Page. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commodity markets and risk management, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a framework for managing commodity price risks in global procurement.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Commodity Risk Management to produce regular and ad-hoc market research and analysis.
  • Work with procurement finance and the treasury team to develop clear financial metrics and dashboards to track the performance of the CPRM program.
  • Share insights and cooperate with the procurement team and key business stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing business category bids and providing suggestions for mitigating category-related risks.
  • Assist with both internal and external audit processes and ensure prompt resolution of any issues related to CPRM.
  • Analyze the use of external OTC markets to further improve and challenge commodity risk management strategies.
  • Develop and manage SKU-level inflation models to monitor the effects of commodity price changes on essential product lines.
  • Presentation of business and risk data to top management.
  • Compose recommendations and provide an overview of insight markets.
  • Regulation of the segregation of duties in the implementation of hedging programs with external banks and brokers.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Possesses strong business acumen, effectively applying knowledge of key financial metrics to drive business improvements.
  • Extensive experience in commodity markets and broader macroeconomic factors, understanding their impact on procurement functions.
  • Demonstrates sound decision-making abilities, relying on a blend of factual analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment to propel organizational progress.
  • Resilient and adaptable, thriving in ambiguous situations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in juggling multiple tasks, assuming responsibility, and coordinating with various stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and organized, adept at managing time effectively.
