Are you looking for a role that combines financial expertise with technical knowledge? As a FinOps Specialist at ECCO, you will play a crucial part in optimizing our cloud financial management processes and ensuring cost efficiency in our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of cloud usage and expenditure to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Develop and implement FinOps best practices to manage and control cloud costs effectively.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and infrastructure teams to align financial goals with operational strategies.
  • Design and implement budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for cloud expenditures.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics related to cloud usage, costs, and performance.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable pricing structures and optimize cost efficiency.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to operational processes that impact cloud cost management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in FinOps.
  • Provide training and guidance to teams on FinOps principles and practices.
  • Establish governance policies to ensure cost-effective use of cloud resources.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, cost management, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • A Master's degree in Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant cloud certifications are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Quality and deadline-oriented.
  • Proficient English language skills.
  • Hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days per week from our Warsaw office).
