The role of a Business Controlling Analyst at Sonova is to provide key support and contribution to the R&D Controlling team. This involves developing and maintaining a reporting infrastructure that generates actionable insights into financial performance and R&D project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the business in terms of performance reporting, budget and estimate planning, product performance analysis, defined KPI tracking, monthly reporting package, and ad-hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the global finance and controlling organization with product performance actionable insights and KPIs.
  • Build and maintain standard reports and data structures across HI WHS to ensure consistency and efficiency in tracking sales, OPEX, balance sheet, FTEs, and other key KPIs.
  • Monthly reporting of KPIs, including analysis and interpretation of monthly financial performance, development of ideas for improvement, and corrective measures. Maintain template to support GC monthly and business reviews.
  • Manage data analysis in terms of sales, OPEX, and other financial performance metrics to summarize results, determine opportunities and trends, and define actions.
  • Support OPEX cost containment and performance against BU measurement (Sales and OPEX).
  • Support the global budget process: participate in development and creation of global BU template and summarize global BU.
  • Track success of key initiatives and identify related risks and opportunities.
  • Compilation and presentation of financial results and data.
  • Provide financial and analytical support for various ad-hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in business administration, finance, or controlling, along with 3-5 years of relevant work experience in controlling, financial analysis, ideally gained in a Marketing or Sales function. Experience working for an international/multinational/global company is desired. In-depth knowledge of data analysis and data-driven action planning is essential. The candidate should be proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and ERP/BI, with experience in consolidation tools (Cognos, Hyperion). Strong business acumen, the ability to see the big picture, and identify trends are crucial. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a multicultural environment, are also required. Experience in building large-scale databases using different data sources and the ability to plan with multiple timelines and prioritize workload are highly valued. A strong command of spoken and written English is expected.
